Amazing! I bought several books from Amazon and none of what I studied appeared on the exam. Here, the study material is way more relevant. I'm attending the police academy from next week!
The oral board and incident report writing sections of the exam are what threw me. Having tried many other books from Amazon and online programs, this course was the only one that set me on the right track.
I couldn't believe how comprehensive their course is. 70 units covering everything you need to know and more, even preparing you for what to expect at a trainee level. Can't thank them enough.
The practice questions are just what I needed. More importantly, each answer explanation was detailed so I was plugging gaps in my knowledge all the way through the course. Can't fault it!.
Excellent course. Better than the outdated textbooks where you just don't know what to study. I came across this site by accident but it made a difference and I passed the exam last week.
I was a bit surprised by this. I failed my police exam twice before and just couldn't make it through. I tried their course and passed on my first attempt! Pretty good value too. Thanks a lot!
Situated on the shores of Tampa Bay on the Gulf of Mexico, Tampa is the third largest city in Florida (after Miami and Jacksonville), with a population of around 400,000 inhabitants in the inner city itself and around 4 million in the greater metropolitan area.
The United States purchased Florida from Spain in 1821, and established Fort Brooke in 1824, which would eventually go on to become the area of Downtown Tampa. In the City’s early days, the “Village of Tampa” was an isolated frontier outpost of only 974 residents (mostly military personnel) and didn’t blossom until the later 1880s, with the arrival of the railroads and heavy industry.
Tampa’s sprawling neighborhoods actually encompass three separate cities (Tampa, St. Petersburg and Clearwater) and the city’s subtropical climate, historic architecture and Spanish infused culture make it an interesting and energetic place to live and work.
Modern Tampa is a vibrant city with beautiful waterways and parks and a laid back vibe that comes from being a mere 30 minute drive away from the beach. Make no mistake though; despite the vacation atmosphere, Tampa is a booming city with a rapidly expanding economy worth $146 billion.
The Tampa Police Department (TPD) has over 1000 sworn law enforcement personnel and 350 civilian support staff spread across three city districts. The department is headquartered at Franklin Street in downtown Tampa.
To pass the Tampa Police Department test, applicants must complete both a physical and written exam, whilst also taking several other tests including a polygraph, a psychological evaluation and a thorough medical examination. Once accepted, The Tampa Police Department test goes on to include 4 weeks of extensive law enforcement field training.
