Amazing! I bought several books from Amazon and none of what I studied appeared on the exam. Here, the study material is way more relevant. I'm attending the police academy from next week!
The oral board and incident report writing sections of the exam are what threw me. Having tried many other books from Amazon and online programs, this course was the only one that set me on the right track.

I couldn't believe how comprehensive their course is. 70 units covering everything you need to know and more, even preparing you for what to expect at a trainee level. Can't thank them enough.
The practice questions are just what I needed. More importantly, each answer explanation was detailed so I was plugging gaps in my knowledge all the way through the course. Can't fault it!.
Excellent course. Better than the outdated textbooks where you just don't know what to study. I came across this site by accident but it made a difference and I passed the exam last week.

I was a bit surprised by this. I failed my police exam twice before and just couldn't make it through. I tried their course and passed on my first attempt! Pretty good value too. Thanks a lot!
Located on the west coast of the United States, Seattle is the largest city in the state of Washington. With its ever-increasing population, that is both culturally and ethnically diverse, the U.S. Census approximated Seattle to have 3.94 million people. It is also the fastest-growing major city in the entire country, with an annual growth rate of about 3.1%.
Recognized by the Commission on Accreditation of Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA) of the United States of America, the Seattle Police Department (SPD) is the official law enforcement agency. Officially founded in the year 1869, it is one of the oldest police forces in the country, with around 60 officers recorded to have laid down their lives in the line of duty since inception. According to a 2012 report, Seattle Police Department was staffed by around 1,800 law enforcement officers, with more than 700 officers carrying out frequent patrolling of the city.
The Seattle Police Department has a number of specialized divisions – including SWAT forces, mounted patrols, bike patrol, and detective officers. Officers who have completed a minimum of three years in patrol are eligible for transfers to a specialized division of the department through a promotional examination.
The structured chain of command is similar to many other major law enforcement agencies, with the Chief of Police being the head and overall commander of the Department. He is an elected official who upon election appoints the Deputy and Assistant Chiefs of each Bureau. Despite recent criticisms of the SPD being understaffed, crime rates in the city of Seattle have been brought significantly lower than in the past decade. Policing a city as large and populous as Seattle remains a challenging task, but the motto of the SPD: Service, Pride, and Dedication constantly drives them forward in the pursuit of excellence.
Candidates taking the Seattle police department exam are expected to undertake a comprehensive written exam – covering math, reading comprehension, logical reasoning and analysis, and observational awareness. On successful completion of the written test, candidates will be expected to undergo a rigorous physical abilities test before going on to undertake medical and psychological evaluations. Successful applicants may then proceed to the police academy to undertake several months of intense training. Applications for the SPD exam can be found online.
