Amazing! I bought several books from Amazon and none of what I studied appeared on the exam. Here, the study material is way more relevant. I'm attending the police academy from next week!
I was already prepared for the written exam, but the oral board threw me. Didn't know where to begin. Thanks to Police Test Study Guide, I was confident to face the oral board exam.
I couldn't believe how comprehensive their course is. 70 units covering everything you need to know and more, even preparing you for what to expect at a trainee level. Can't thank them enough.
I really liked how they've formatted the course. It's fully interactive, so you can take it on the go and study when you need to on your mobile or tablet. Makes things 10x easier to pass the exam
Good course. Better than the outdated textbooks where you just don't know what to study. I came across this site by accident but it made a difference and I passed the exam last week.
I was a bit surprised by this. I failed my police exam twice before and just couldn't make it through. I tried their course and passed on my first attempt! Pretty good value too. Thanks a lot!
Situated on the West Coast of the United States, San Francisco is the second-most densely populated city in the country. Being relatively small, it extends over a meager area of 46.8 square miles. According to the U.S. Census Bureau report of 2019, the population of San Francisco was estimated to be 1.2 million. The World Liveability Rankings rated San Francisco as the most liveable city in the U.S. It also has the 4th largest economy and the seventh-highest Per Capita Income in the country.
Founded in the year 1849, the San Francisco Police Department (SFPD) is the 11th largest Law Enforcement Agency in the United States. As of 2018, the SFPD employs 2108 officers, out of which nearly 1,800 are full-time sworn officers. The city of San Francisco is divided into 3 geographical divisions, each of which are regularly patrolled by two units of Patrol officers. Headquartered at 1245 3rd St, San Francisco, CA 94158, the SFPD overlooks 10 main police stations and several other substations that fall under its jurisdiction. The Department has 1 major airbase, 340 Patrol Cars, 5 boats and more than 25 trained police dogs at its disposal to aid in more efficient law enforcement.
The Chief of Police heads the Department. He is assisted by two Assistant Chiefs. On the basis of functioning, the Department can be categorized into six bureaus, each of which is headed by a Deputy Chief. The Bureaus are namely: The Administrative Bureau-which manages funds, allocates budgets and takes care of logistic concerns; Airport Bureau- which aids in air traffic control and frisking at the San Francisco International Airport; Chief of Staff- The Bureau that extends administrative consultancy to the Chief of Police on various subjects, including Press Releases and Internal Affairs; Field Operations Bureau- That overlooks the Patrol Division of the SFPD; Professional Standards and Principled Policing Bureau and a Special Operations Bureau- which overlooks and extends aid to specialized units, by providing training and supplying necessary equipment. The SFPD has 10 specialized units that carry out ultra-specific functions. Thanks to the tireless efforts of SFPD, the homicide rates in San Francisco fell by a remarkable 11%.
Application forms for the San Francisco Police Department test can be downloaded from their website. Candidates who wish to apply must submit the duly filled forms, and pass a Frontline National Law Enforcement Test and a mandatory Physical Abilities Test (PAT). This is followed by a level of Oral Interview, Personal History Questionnaire, and a thorough Background Investigation. Owing to the popularity of the Department, competition for a spot in its police academy remains high.
