I failed the state police exam twice before and did not want to go through that experience again. The state police exam is tough and requires a lot of preparation. Using this course plus recommended books from Amazon got me over the line. Thank you!
I had to take the highway patrol exam but only had one month left of study time. That, along with my work, make things way too difficult. But given how structured the course is, along with practice questions, you quickly build-up the knowledge level needed to succeed at the exam.

The state police written exam is what I really sucked at. This course helped, a lot! Far more than outdated textbooks I was using. I can really recommend their practice exams, too – best experience yet to know if you are prepared! I would not have passed without this course; a must-have study tool!
I was taking the New York state trooper exam but had no focus on what and how to study. What’s useful is how structured the course is, and how you can work your way through it at your own pace and test your knowledge along the way. I would not have passed without this course, that’s for certain.
Wow! I was looking for a one-stop shop for all my police test needs and this is EXACTLY what I needed. I’ve tried other courses, but they have never lived up to expectations. This test prep guide, in contrast, contains everything (and more) to help guide your way through all aspects of the state trooper test.

The interview test is by far the most intimidating part of the state trooper test. To be prepared, you need to do your homework – not only yourself but also how to prepare for dynamic oral board problems that test your situational judgment. This course prepares you for exactly that. Thank you!
With a broader vision of serving, protecting and defending the people of New York, the official police for the New York state is The New York state troopers, NYSP. As of 2018, the New York state troopers employs 711 civilian members and more than 5000 sworn officers. Until the 20th century, New York did not have a state police force but the agency was officially formed on 11 April, 1917 and is now the part of New York state executive department. Under the command of current agency executive Kevin P. Bruen and superintendent Keith M. Corlett, the department continues to work for ensuring the safety of New York’s roadways, responding to emergencies, imposing law regulations and preventing/investigating crime.
Moreover, NYSP portray their dedication towards their mission and vision even in their uniform. As a distinctive part of the uniform, the New York state troopers are supposed to wear big hats and purple tie which represents an elite unit, black stripe on the trousers which represents remembrance of fallen comrades. Communication officers of the state police are the trained individuals who immediately respond to citizen emergencies and complaints. Eleven troops of NYSP are active in the State of New York. Under the supervision of troop commanders, each troop covers a specific geographical area, usually different counties. The troop commander is normally of the major rank. For patrolling or for surveilence operations in the state, NYSP has an active police aviation in which all aircrafts operate under the call sign of “GrayRider”. The NYSP has 3 single engine utility helicopters and 6 twin engine helicopters.
To become a part of NYSP, the candidate needs to pass a mandatory New York state troopers test and have a physical training of 26 week training academy to be appointed as a state trooper. After that, the recruits shall complete a 10 week post academy training to become a permanent trooper.
