I failed the state police exam twice before and did not want to go through that experience again. The state police exam is tough and requires a lot of preparation. Using this course plus recommended books from Amazon got me over the line. Thank you!
I had to take the highway patrol exam but only had one month left of study time. That, along with my work, make things way too difficult. But given how structured the course is, along with practice questions, you quickly build-up the knowledge level needed to succeed at the exam.
The state police written exam is what I really sucked at. This course helped, a lot! Far more than outdated textbooks I was using. I can really recommend their practice exams, too – best experience yet to know if you are prepared! I would not have passed without this course; a must-have study tool!
I was taking the New York state trooper exam but had no focus on what and how to study. What’s useful is how structured the course is, and how you can work your way through it at your own pace and test your knowledge along the way. I would not have passed without this course, that’s for certain.
Wow! I was looking for a one-stop shop for all my police test needs and this is EXACTLY what I needed. I’ve tried other courses, but they have never lived up to expectations. This test prep guide, in contrast, contains everything (and more) to help guide your way through all aspects of the state trooper test.
The interview test is by far the most intimidating part of the state trooper test. To be prepared, you need to do your homework – not only yourself but also how to prepare for dynamic oral board problems that test your situational judgment. This course prepares you for exactly that. Thank you!
Nevada highway patrol (NHP) is the official statewide highway patrolling agency in Nevada. In 1908, NHP was formed to enforce laws on highways and the first patrolmen of NHP would patrol all over the state to collect fee for automobiles registration and to enforce highway laws.
The first NHP patrolman was employed by the inspector of Nevada state police. NHP is now lead by a chief, assistant chief and 2 deputy chiefs. The police chief, Colonel Anne Carpenter is serving as third agency executive since last year, leading a staff of around 500 troopers and 100 civilians. Additionally, Anne Carpenter is the first female chief appointed by the in NHP. The agency has 10 German shepherds and 3 fixed wing crafts in flight operation unit. NHP is headquartered at:
55 Wright Way,
Mission: To promote safety on Nevada Highways by providing law enforcement traffic services to the motoring public.
NHP is highly committed to its mission and vision, for which none of their troopers have ever hesitated to lay down their lives in any situation. Since its formation, nine troopers have laid down their lives in line of duty.
Applicants, who are planning to apply for trooper position in NHP, must be well prepared for the Nevada highway patrol test first. The Nevada highway patrol test consist of four basic parts; written exam, physical testing, oral interview and background investigation. The applicant must be able to perform:
• 24 sit-ups and 18 pushups in a minute or less
• 300 meter run and 1.5 mile run in about 80 seconds and 20:20 seconds
• 14’’ vertical jump
Oral board interview and background investigation is based on a face to face interview with a panel of 3 members from NHP, who evaluate the applicant on certain basis.
