I failed the state police exam twice before and did not want to go through that experience again. The state police exam is tough and requires a lot of preparation. Using this course plus recommended books from Amazon got me over the line. Thank you!
I had to take the highway patrol exam but only had one month left of study time. That, along with my work, make things way too difficult. But given how structured the course is, along with practice questions, you quickly build-up the knowledge level needed to succeed at the exam.

The state police written exam is what I really sucked at. This course helped, a lot! Far more than outdated textbooks I was using. I can really recommend their practice exams, too – best experience yet to know if you are prepared! I would not have passed without this course; a must-have study tool!
I was taking the New York state trooper exam but had no focus on what and how to study. What’s useful is how structured the course is, and how you can work your way through it at your own pace and test your knowledge along the way. I would not have passed without this course, that’s for certain.
Wow! I was looking for a one-stop shop for all my police test needs and this is EXACTLY what I needed. I’ve tried other courses, but they have never lived up to expectations. This test prep guide, in contrast, contains everything (and more) to help guide your way through all aspects of the state trooper test.

The interview test is by far the most intimidating part of the state trooper test. To be prepared, you need to do your homework – not only yourself but also how to prepare for dynamic oral board problems that test your situational judgment. This course prepares you for exactly that. Thank you!
99 years ago, the NJST was established on 29th March, 1921 as a state police force for the state of New Jersey. The New Jersey state troopers (NJST) strive to excel in their duties with their motto of “HONOR, DUTY & FIDELITY”. The department is staffed with 3811 employees (as of 2014), which are lead by the agency chief, Colonel Patrick J. Callahan. It has 2585 troopers and 1226 civilians in 4 groups of troops (southern New Jersey, Northern New Jersey, Central New Jersey and New Jersey Turnpike). Designated by troop services, NJSP is responsible for:
● General police services
● General highway traffic enforcement
● Statewide investigation and intelligence services
● Support to local law enforcement efforts
● maintenance of criminal records
● identification systems
● regulation of certain commerce
Schwarzkopf was the first superintendent of NJSP, who heavily influenced the troopers. He started a training program for selecting new troopers which resulted in a positive outcome. Out of 116 men who started training, 81 of them completed the training program successfully. The training program took place on the same ground as the present state police academy (Sea Girt, New Jersey).
The agency also contains a “Trooper of the year award”, to pay an honor to the troopers for their endless efforts and services.
The selection process of NJSP includes a comprehensive New Jersey state troopers test which is broke down in; written exam, physical qualification test, a comprehensive background investigation and an in-person interview. The physical test includes pushups, sit-ups and 1.5 mile run. Physical testing is the preliminary phase of selection process, once a candidate passes the physical test, he shall be invited for the written exam. Written test consists of multiple assessments designed to evaluate the competency needed to become a trooper. Medical and psychological examination is also necessary as it evaluates one’s competency to perform the essential functions of the desired position. After the New Jersey state troopers test is completed, only the potential candidates will proceed for the training program.
