Candidates vying to pass the Long Beach police department test are asked to undertake a comprehensive exam format that tests a candidates’ knowledge and ability in communication, physical fitness, and how they perform during an oral board exam. Success at Long Beach police exam is predicated on a long-term commitment to prepare for each part of the exam. Only the highest performing candidates make it through to the academy.
With a population approaching 500,000 people, Long Beach is one of the burgeoning cities of California. Long Beach police department can be found centrally, at 400 W Broadway Avenue. Candidates aspiring to join LBDP must first fulfill the eligibility criteria: must be 20-years old at the time the application is submitted; must have 20/20 vision or correctable to that value; must hold a valid driver’s license; and must not have any felony convictions.
