Laredo police department is the municipal agency for the administration of law in the local area. It is located at 4712 Maher Ave, Laredo, TX 78041. It has about 600 employees including over 80 civilian employees and about 500 sworn officers. It serves an area of 111 sq. miles of about 21,600 people. Its chief of police is Claudio Trevino Jr. It has further five command divisions. Currently, the Laredo police department is the 8th largest police department in Texas.
