About Inglewood Police Department Test

Inglewood is a city in the state of California with a total of 108,151 residents in 2019, making it the 12th most populous city of Los Angeles County. Incorporated on 14th February 1908, Inglewood was initially occupied by Native Americans. The city’s culture is mainly influenced by Latinos and African Americans. It is located in the South Bay, near the Los Angeles International Airport. Inglewood is home to the famous historical landmark, La Casa de la Centinela Adobe and a site to famous Hollywood horse park racing track. Inglewood was named by Daniel Freeman, after his hometown in Canada. The city’s arts commission, community information guide, Inglewood’s public art, and recreation & cultural division guide and provide authentic information about the ongoing programs and community events to the visitors.

Inglewood police department (IPD) was established on February 14, 1908. IPD has a total of 186 sworn members and 92 un-sworn members, that represent an area of 9.09 square miles (23.55 km2). The department is divided into 4 offices: chief of police office, criminal investigations office, administrative services, and patrol services office. The Acting Chief of Police is Mark Fronterotta. To pass the Inglewood police department test, candidates must take a three-part examination. The police written test examines the candidate’s knowledge of math, memory, grammar/spelling, incident report writing, and reading comprehension. The physical abilities test examines a candidate’s performance at endurance, upper body strength, and mobility. Finally, candidates must take the interview exam and may be required to undertake a polygraph assessment too. Only the highest-scoring applicants on the Inglewood police test will make it through to the academy.
