Peoria is a city in the state of Arizona, whose most of the part lies in Maricopa County while a tiny part lies in Yavapai County. Peoria’s total population, as in the year 2019, was 175,961.

The city’s economic activities center around building up the new Loop 303 freeway passage as a modern, industrial, commercial, blended improvement and less on traditional residential development.

There are various properties in the city of Peoria which are viewed as historic and have been incorporated either in the National Register of Historic Places or the postings of the Peoria Register of Historic Places- including Oldtown Peoria, Peoria Presbyterian Church, and more.

The City of Peoria Police Department is the principal law enforcement agency in the city. The police department was established in 1989 and it is presently lead by the Chief of Police, Art Miller. The department is located at:

With a total of 300 employees – including 148 sworn officers, the police department serves to maintain law and order. The city has nearly 40,000 households and a population density of approximately 800 people per square mile. The department has an annual budget of $48 million.

To pass the City of Peoria police department test, candidates are asked to take three exams – the written examination; the physical abilities test; and the oral board examination. Candidates who succeed at all three parts of the police test may be asked to join the local police academy for further training and experience.
