Amazing! I bought several books from Amazon and none of what I studied appeared on the exam. Here, the study material is way more relevant. I'm attending the police academy from next week!
The oral board and incident report writing sections of the exam are what threw me. Having tried many other books from Amazon and online programs, this course was the only one that set me on the right track.

I couldn't believe how comprehensive their course is. 70 units covering everything you need to know and more, even preparing you for what to expect at a trainee level. Can't thank them enough.
The practice questions are just what I needed. More importantly, each answer explanation was detailed so I was plugging gaps in my knowledge all the way through the course. Can't fault it!.
Excellent course. Better than the outdated textbooks where you just don't know what to study. I came across this site by accident but it made a difference and I passed the exam last week.

I was a bit surprised by this. I failed my police exam twice before and just couldn't make it through. I tried their course and passed on my first attempt! Pretty good value too. Thanks a lot!
With a population of 1.2 million, Allegheny is the second-most populous county of the State of Pennsylvania. The city of Allegheny formed part of Pennsylvania as a municipality from the year 1788 until 1907 when it was annexed by Pittsburgh. The economy of the county remains predominantly agrarian.
The Department is headed by the Sheriff of Allegheny, who is an elected office-bearer. The Sheriff’s Department is categorized into several divisions for better policing and patrolling. Each of these units is headed by a Deputy Officer who is in turn accountable to the Sheriff.
Responsible for processing and extending civil documents, such as ordinances of courts, writs filed by concerned persons, divorce certificates, and the execution of personal and real property, The Civil Process Division ensures the maintenance of law and order in the county. The Investigations Division carries out the important function of executing criminal warrants, investigating any threats that may be posed to the personnel of the judiciary body.
Personnel, Financial and Fiscal Management, scheduling training for law enforcement personnel, maintenance or purchase of Departmental property and management of information technology are all carried out by The Administration Division. Responsible for the crucial task of issuing licenses in accordance with the Uniform Firearms Act to conceal-carry or sell firearms, The Firearms Division remains one of the most assiduous. The Transportation Division transports prisoners to and from cellars, courts and hospitals. The responsibility of mandating prisoners to courtroom security or house arrest, as well as assisting in coordinating the extraditions of prisoners from other states and jurisdictions is carried out by this Division.
The Allegheny Sheriff’s Department has designated unique divisions like the Evidence Management and Crime Prevention, that works at a grass-root level to prevent crime before it occurs, through social rewiring and psychological counseling. The Department also maintains a Canine Unit for two main purposes: to track bombs and drugs and for single-purpose criminal tracking. What makes this law enforcement agency unique is that it is not funded by tax-payers’ dollars, but by voluntary public donations. This is yet another proof of the service-oriented approach of the Department.
